ASST Garda is promoting an important initiative for the prevention of infections through a theatrical performance dedicated to hand hygiene. On May 5th, in celebration of World Hand Hygiene Day, the A. Celesti Auditorium in Desenzano del Garda will host “AS IT WAS,” a production by the Fulop Association aimed at raising public awareness about the importance of handwashing in the healthcare context. The event will begin at 6:30 PM and is open to both employees and the general public.
The performance focuses on the figure of Ignác Fülöp Semmelweis, known as “the savior of mothers,” who discovered in 1847 that the adoption of hygienic practices could drastically reduce the incidence of puerperal fever among new mothers. Through the narration of his findings, ASST Garda aims to emphasize the critical importance of maintaining proper hand hygiene to prevent the spread of infections, a message that is both timely and essential for everyone.
