A 57-year-old man was saved thanks to the swift intervention of the owners of the Skypadel center in Rivoltella, Desenzano, after he collapsed while playing padel. The incident occurred around 7:30 PM; Raul De Jesus and Gianpietro Breda, both trained in first aid, immediately performed life-saving maneuvers using an automated external defibrillator and called for emergency assistance.
Thanks to their intervention, the man’s heart began to beat again before the medical personnel arrived, who continued the resuscitation efforts. Initially admitted in critical condition to the hospital in Desenzano, the patient was later transferred to the Poliambulanza hospital in Brescia due to a malfunctioning CT scanner at the first facility. Currently, the 57-year-old is in intensive care but is conscious and out of danger.
