With the arrival of the tourist season, the Alto Garda region is preparing to face the increasing number of motorcyclists on its scenic roads, which often become the scene of accidents. To ensure the safety of motorcyclists, the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri in Trento has implemented stricter road checks through the “Due Ruote Sicure” project, launched in 2024. This program involves the use of a recently enhanced motorcycle fleet, featuring new Yamaha Tracer 900 bikes, to monitor and intervene in critical situations along the most frequented tourist routes.
In recent months, numerous officers have been trained to operate effectively on these new motorcycles in case of emergencies. The initiative aims to counter irresponsible behavior from some motorcyclists and to promote adherence to traffic regulations. As the motorcycle tourism season intensifies in spring and continues through autumn, motorcycle patrols will be active both in urban centers and along the mountainous roads of Alto Garda, ensuring constant and timely monitoring to improve the overall safety of road users.
