On the evening of Friday, July 25, a couple of hikers lost their way in the woods above Mezzane, a district of Villanuova sul Clisi, prompting a call for assistance from the Alpine Rescue. Around 9:30 PM, they reached out for help after taking the wrong trail and finding themselves in difficulty.
Emergency protocols were immediately activated, with rescuers from the Valle Sabbia Station and firefighters dispatched to the scene. Three technicians from the Cnsas arrived and, upon reaching the hikers, provided initial care due to the onset of hypothermia. Fortunately, both were escorted back to their car in good condition.
