The historical reenactment event “The Tricolor in Padenghe sul Garda” returns for its second edition on April 26 and 27, 2025, with a preview scheduled for Thursday, April 24. This event offers an important opportunity to relive the atmosphere of the Italian Risorgimento, particularly the insurrection against Habsburg rule in 1848, when the tricolor flag was flown during the Five Days of Milan. The initiative is organized by the Municipality in collaboration with the Proloco of Padenghe sul Garda, the “Vivere il Risorgimento” APS Association of Castelgoffredo, and the group associated with the “Visit Padenghe sul Garda” brand. The event was presented in the council chamber of Palazzo Barbieri, in the presence of Mayor Albino Zuliani and other members of the administration.
The preview on April 24 will feature a conference titled “Year 1848 & Year 1943. Similarities and Differences,” led by historian Carlo Saletti. The weekend program will include visits to the historical encampment in Parco Vaso Rì, where approximately one hundred reenactors will be present with period weapons and uniforms. Afternoon activities on the 26th will feature guided tours of the encampment and educational stations, as well as a focus on the Patriotic Women at Palazzo Barbieri.
