Today, April 20, 2025, Salò experienced an incident involving falling debris from the roof of the renowned Bar Italia located along the Zanardelli lakeside. The accident occurred around 2:00 PM during the Easter lunch, and fortunately, there were no injuries as the customers were inside the establishment. Firefighters promptly responded to the scene to cordon off the area and utilized a mechanical ladder to secure the structure.
As a result of the situation, Bar Italia has been closed to the public until further notice. The reopening will take place only after the Salò firefighters complete the necessary remediation operations to ensure the safety of the building and its patrons.
