Hospital protest in Desenzano for missed dental appointment
A hospital protest took place at the Desenzano hospital when a couple of foreign nationals arrived for a dental appointment on the wrong day. The husband and wife discovered that their appointment had already expired and, in a show of disapproval, lay down on the floor, threatening not to move until they were seen. Health workers, concerned about the situation, contacted emergency services, and the police promptly intervened.
Upon the arrival of law enforcement, the couple reacted even more aggressively, hurling insults at the officers. During the document check, the husband pulled out a metal object and struck one of the officers, causing minor injuries. Both individuals were arrested and charged: the man faced charges of violence and resistance, while the wife was charged only with resistance. Following the arrest validation hearing, the judge ordered house arrest for the man until the trial. There were no significant damages to the facility, nor were there any serious injuries among the staff or patients present.
