Ice training in Tonale: effective and safe mountain rescue
An important winter exercise conducted by the Brescia Alpine Rescue took place at Tonale, focusing on mountain rescue and ice training. This event, now a regular occurrence before the onset of the cold season, aimed primarily at maintaining the operational readiness of the technicians, addressing progression on ice and mixed terrain, which are typical of alpine conditions in winter. The rescuers were able to review lowering and recovery procedures, adapting to the challenges posed by variable weather and the complex morphology of the area. During the training, participants simulated critical situations to refine response times, communication, and role distribution. Under the supervision of CNSAS instructors, the exercise saw active and motivated participation, highlighting the ongoing commitment of the V Brescia Delegation to ensure rapid and effective interventions even in the most challenging winter contexts. The positive feedback received underscores the high technical level of the involved members and the continuous preparation necessary to tackle emergencies in the mountains. Italian Version
