Until August 31, applications can be submitted for the International Lombardia is Research 2025 Award, which grants 1 million euros to the most innovative project in the field of life sciences. This edition focuses on “Innovative Methods for Early Diagnosis or Preventive Medicine,” aiming to improve both the life expectancy and quality of life for citizens. Scientists of any nationality may apply, provided they have an h-index of at least 50 in the Scopus database and have made a significant contribution to the award theme.
An important new feature this year is that each scientist can independently submit their application, accompanied by a translational research project in collaboration with public or private entities in Lombardy. The winner will be announced during the Research Day, scheduled for November 8 at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, an event organized by the Lombardy Region in collaboration with the Umberto Veronesi Foundation. This annual event aims to highlight the contribution of research and innovation in the region, emphasizing the importance of life sciences for the local economy.
