Acque Bresciane has recently signed a PNRR line of 38 million euros to enhance the integrated water cycle in the province, with the support of a consortium of banks led by Intesa Sanpaolo. This initiative is part of a broader investment strategy, which includes a previous credit line of 202 million euros and an additional 55 million euros planned for July 2024. The planned interventions involve the construction of the Aqueduct for the Upper and Middle Valle Trompia, as well as improvements to wastewater treatment plants in various municipalities. These projects aim to promote sustainability through the reduction of water losses and the optimization of networks. The president of Acque Bresciane, Pierluigi Toscani, emphasized that these investments are crucial for the future of water services, aligning with the Sustainability Plan for 2045. Michele Sorrentino from Intesa Sanpaolo also reiterated the importance of the water sector in achieving sustainable goals. Acque Bresciane, a fully public benefit company operating since 2017 and serving a population of over 700,000 residents, is committed to ensuring universal access to drinking water and protecting local water resources.
