Yesterday, Sunday, the Italian Sailing Championships of the IV Zone FIV concluded at the Fraglia Vela in Desenzano del Garda. This event saw the participation of eleven Under 25 teams from various regions of Italy. Organized by the Italian Sailing Federation in collaboration with the XIV Zone FIV Committee and the Dolphin 81 class, the championship featured three days of racing characterized by ideal weather conditions and a highly competitive atmosphere. The IV Zone (Lazio) triumphed in the Gold fleet, securing the title with two third-place finishes and a victory in the decisive races, while the II Zone (Tuscany) and the I Zone (Liguria) completed the podium. The awards ceremony celebrated not only the winners but also the team spirit among the young sailors, in the presence of federal authorities. This championship represented an important opportunity for emerging talents from the various FIV zones to compete against one another. The Fraglia Vela Desenzano and the Italian Sailing Federation have already announced the next event, the Italian Open, Women’s, and Under 23 Match Race Championship, scheduled for the second weekend of November, also in Desenzano.
