Lake Garda Bathing Water Quality Remains Excellent Amid Select Restrictions

QUALITY OF BATHING WATER
Updated as of June 21, 2000. The quality of bathing waters at Lake Garda remains very good.
Out of the total 125 sites monitored along the entire lakeside perimeter by the Local Health Authorities, the following beaches are non-bathing according to the restrictive Italian regulations:

Non-bathing beaches

Brescian Shore: Desenzano d/G: Madonna della Villa district. Rivoltella Bathing Center. Spiaggia d’Oro Bathing Center.
No other bans on bathing are recorded due to failure to meet hygienic-sanitary parameters.

Water temperatures: 14°C – 20°C.
Visibility at depth: 5 – 10 meters.
Air temperatures: 16°C during nighttime, 33°C during the day.
