Lake Garda Christmas Events Include International Collaborations and Local Festivities

The schedule of Christmas events on the Veronese shore of Lake Garda has been announced and circulated. Garda organizes exhibitions, shows, tastings, and…twinings. “The most important innovation,” declared Mayor Davide Bendinelli, who is also a provincial assessor, “is the agreement reached with some foreign locations: on the lakeside we will have stands from Innsbruck, Istria, the Bavarian town of Beilngries, etc. We wanted to establish these collaborations because we believe they can enrich the winter program and give new impetus to our tourism activity.”

Businesses have agreed to produce a map of the town indicating exhibition spaces. Shops and bars have also committed to remain open. Eight restaurants have created a series of fixed-price menus. Every day, starting at 6 pm, a food stall on the lakeside will serve local specialties.

Tomorrow, November 30th, the Swarovski crystal exhibition will be inaugurated. The nativity scene of the village will be set up in Piazzale Roma. At 9 pm, the theatrical company from Castelrotto will present the comedy “Nothing to Declare”. On Saturday, December 1st, three inaugurations will take place: at 11 am, in the ancient Palazzo Carlotti, the exhibition of antique dolls and tin toys; at 11:30 am, the book market and the presentation of greeting messages for children around the world (including local schoolchildren); at 3 pm, the new tourist office.
