On Thursday, May 15th at 7 PM, the inauguration of the new **lakefront in Desenzano del Garda** will take place, an eagerly anticipated event that marks the completion of the second phase of a waterfront redevelopment project that began 15 years ago. The total investment for this phase amounts to approximately **3.685 million euros**, with a recent amendment of an additional 100,000 euros. The new promenade, now safer and greener, extends for 230 linear meters and features an average width of 14 meters. Among the highlights are the restoration of the Feltrinelli pier and the creation of a panoramic terrace that hosts an artwork by Maestro Xausa.
In the fall, work is expected to commence on the third and final phase, which will cover the stretch between the Feltrinelli beach and Vicolo delle Lavandaie. This project will require an additional **2.5 million euros**, to be shared equally between the Municipality and the Basin Authority. If everything goes smoothly, construction could begin between the fall of 2025 and the spring of 2026, thereby completing the redevelopment of the lakeside promenade.
