Land of Music and Cuisine: Events at Spia d’Italia Vineyard
“Land of Music, Land of Cuisine” is the guiding theme of a series of events that Dr. Andrea Guetta, owner of the Vineyard “Spia d’Italia” of Lonato (BS), wanted to give to an initiative that features as its main ingredients and protagonists international music and products from our land.
Basically, these are evenings rich in cultural and gastronomic content, during which music will entertain the guests attending the various nights engaged in a true tasting of the different dishes prepared by the kitchen chefs of Casa Guetta, following the theme of the evening.
First event and menu details
The first event – Saturday, May 6th, starting at 8:30 PM – titled “The Dixie of New Orleans and Cajun-Creole Cuisine,” will feature a concert by the Trio composed of Gianni Alberti on saxophone and clarinet, Stefano Caniato on keyboards, and Massimiliano Gatti on banjo.
It’s easy to imagine what the central theme of the musical evening will be.
From the “Cantina” of Spia d’Italia, after the usual aperitif, will come out and be served crostini with “Nut Dip” olives, fish balls with spicy ginger, Cajun Cheese Ball, boats with Creole butter, honey-glazed ham baked with cloves, spicy chicken with Creole rice, curry eggplants, mayonnaise cabbage, “Mardì Gras” salad, banana fritters with cinnamon syrup, and coconut nougatine de coco fané.
Accompanying these dishes will, of course, be wines produced by the same Spia d’Italia company.
It goes without saying that, for this event as well as for the other scheduled evenings, reservations are required due to very limited seating, as the Vineyard is not a restaurant but an enotourism enterprise with a strong focus on high-level gastronomy.
Indeed, at this company, it is possible to taste (always by reservation), in pairing with selected wines from the company’s production – including the excellent and unique “Dessert V.L.Q.P.R.D. San Martino Della Battaglia” – over forty types of cheeses, all rigorously produced in the territory, plains and valleys of Brescia.
