From September 28 to October 6, the long-awaited Librixia will take place in Brescia, a fair dedicated to books that celebrates culture and publishing. This annual event serves as a crucial platform for authors, artists, and prominent figures in the cultural landscape, both local and national. The main goal of Librixia is to connect the public with the richness of publishing and the creativity that books can inspire.

A Diverse Program for Everyone

During the nine days of the event, the program will feature a variety of activities ranging from poetry to art, from science to politics, from philosophy to current affairs, touching on themes related to work and the economy. Special attention will be given to younger audiences, with reading spaces designed for students of all ages, thereby encouraging school participation through specific projects.

Important Collaborations

This year, the Brescia Museums Foundation will also be present at the 2024 edition of Librixia, contributing with a rich calendar of events and presentations. The fair is thus set to be a vibrant meeting point for reading and culture enthusiasts in general.

Scheduled Events

Among the unmissable appointments:

Saturday, September 28 at 5:30 PM: Presentation of the book The History of Brescia Castle from the Middle Ages to the Nineteenth Century, with authors Marco Merlo and Sara Scalia, moderated by Elisa Sala at MOCA in the Danze room.Sunday, September 29 at 5:30 PM: Presentation of the volume From Municipality to Italian Homeland: Struggles and Political Cultures in Brescia (1792-1802), with Carlo Bazzani in dialogue with Enrico Valseriati at MOCA in the Danze room.Monday, September 30 at 4:00 PM: Discussion on the topic Museology of the Present: Sustainable and Inclusive Museums during the presentation of the 2023 Mission Report in Piazza Vittoria.
