Lions Book Drive in Desenzano Donates 344 Volumes in August

A Lions book drive held in August at Giunti bookstores in Desenzano del Garda collected 344 new volumes over eight activity days organized by clubs from Lions Zone Garda 41/42. The books, purchased and donated under the initiative “Aiutaci a Crescere. Regalaci un libro,” will be delivered to local facilities and associations.

The total cover value of the donated books is 3,204.31 euros. Volunteers collected mainly titles for children and young readers throughout the month, with distribution planned directly by Lions to the pediatric ward and facilities of the Desenzano Hospital, as well as to associations identified by the Zone Garda clubs.

At the end of the campaign, organizers thanked the volunteers for their time and commitment, and the event also included a greeting from racing driver René Arnoux.
