After a five-year hiatus, Bardolino is set to welcome back the literary festival “Words on Water”, which will take place from June 20 to 22. Now in its eleventh edition, this event will bring eight nationally renowned authors to the lakeside, providing a unique opportunity for literature and culture enthusiasts. The free-entry meetings will be held at the Park of Villa Carrara Bottagisio, and in case of bad weather, at the Corallo Theatre. The initiative is organized by the Culture Department of the Municipality and the Bardolino Top Foundation, with the sponsorship of the Province of Verona and the Veneto Region.
The program includes a series of presentations covering a range of topics from literary themes to social and scientific issues. Among the participants are notable names such as Matteo Righetto and Antonella Viola, whose works explore the mountains and recent discoveries in medicine. Mayor Daniele Bertasi emphasized the festival’s importance in promoting reading as a tool for personal and collective growth. With this return, the municipal administration aims to strengthen the bond between the community and culture through moments of open and participatory dialogue.
