Local Collaboration Supports Vulnerable Communities in Cornuda
Beginning of the Agreement and Participants
On the start of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project in support of the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which will last for two years, aims primarily to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and community funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the groups in need. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
