Local Partnership Launches Social Inclusion Project for Vulnerable Residents
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for signing a project in favor of the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which will have a duration of two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European funds.
Planned Activities and Goals
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the weaker groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
