Starting from October 1st, Lombardy will launch its influenza vaccination campaign for the 2025-26 season, aiming to ensure adequate coverage for the population. The Region has planned the distribution of over 2.7 million doses, which will be available through General Practitioners, Pediatricians, pharmacies, and vaccination centers. Vaccinations will initially be administered to high-risk categories, such as healthcare workers and pregnant women, while from October 13th, it will be extended to all citizens over the age of 18, including in pharmacies. Finally, starting from October 20th, ASST will offer the vaccine to children and adolescents aged 6 months to 17 years. Health Councillor Bertolaso emphasized that this campaign is built on the experience of the previous year and aims to effectively protect the most vulnerable. In addition to the influenza vaccination, a campaign against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) will also commence for children born from April 1st, 2025, with a significant number of doses available. With this strategic approach, Lombardy reaffirms its leadership in public health protection as we approach the upcoming flu season. Italian Version
