Lombardy Launches Alpine Shelter Management Course in Sondrio

Lombardia Region launches a 30-hour in-person course for mountain refuge managers in Sondrio, starting March 2026, with registration deadline on March 4, 2026. The program aims to train refuge operators in hospitality and tourism, emphasizing their role as key points of contact for mountain communities.

Organized in collaboration with Ersaf and APF Valtellina, the course targets individuals over 18 with a secondary school diploma and SAB certification. Regional authorities, including Mountain and Local Entities Commissioner Massimo Sertori, highlighted the importance of mountain refuges as vital assets for Lombardy’s alpine areas.
