Lombardy Recognizes and Funds 15-Place Elderly Day Center in Desenzano

With resolution no. 2415 of December 1st issued by the Regional Council, the Lombardy Region has officially recognized the 15-place integrated day center, active since May 2000, at Pia Opera S. Angela Merici in Desenzano del Garda.

The resolution includes, among other provisions, the allocation of funding amounting to 60% of the expenditure incurred for the activation of the center.

This measure has enabled a decision to reduce the daily fees paid by attendees of the integrated day center for the year 2001.

Objectives and purpose of the service

The service established by the facility aligns fully with a social policy aimed at preventing and minimizing non-self-sufficiency, ensuring that elderly individuals can continue to live in their own family environment.

With the recognition of this new service, the care offering for the elderly in the region is further expanded.
