Lonate Holds Exhibition of Ronald Hils’s Abstract Art in Christmas Program

The Lonate municipal council proposes, as part of the Christmas activities, an exhibition of high artistic quality dedicated to Ronald Hils. The exhibition is open today, tomorrow, on December 26 and 30 and 31, and January 6 and 7, from 10 am to 12 pm and from 3 pm to 6 pm, in the Celesti hall, at the town hall.

Information about the artist and the exhibition

Ronald Hils was born in Berlin in 1940 and lives between Munich and Sirmione. None of his works carry titles, following the artist’s desire to leave room for free interpretation by the viewer, who engages with the canvases.

The only possible comment is a strictly technical indication, as well as a contextual and temporal placement of the artist and his work.

Characteristics of the artwork

Samples of abstract art execution, vibrant with German expressionist culture, in which figuration remains present, the color palette is typically Nordic, while the formal approach appears influenced by European culture.
