On Sunday, October 4, the Basilica of San Giovanni Battista in Lonato del Garda will host a special recital dedicated to St Francis of Assisi. Starting at 3:45 PM, the event titled “Francesco, chino sulla nuda terra” (Francis, bent over the bare earth) will celebrate the patron saint of Italy.
The performance, organized by the GardArt association, blends literature, theology, and music. Actress and singer Laura Gambarin will lead the recital, accompanied on the piano by Gianluigi La Torre, bringing to life the profound spirituality and historical impact of the saint.
