Lugana DOC Awards and Promotions Highlight Quality Rise Before Vinitaly
Despite the international wine community’s current focus on Vinitaly, the Verona-based international wine fair, Lugana DOC continues to receive recognition and attention from various competitions at both national and international levels.
This is the case of the National Wine Exhibition of Pramaggiore in Venice, which in recent days awarded top wines through dedicated juries with various prizes and honors. Lugana DOC, vintage 1988, from Provenza di Desenzano del Garda, was awarded the Gold Medal – Distinction.
Furthermore, at the Azienda LA Carega – Cantina Marangona in Pramaggiore, a Gold Medal of High Merit Diploma was bestowed upon Lugana DOC Il rintocco 1997. These important awards will be officially presented on April 16, adding to the numerous recognitions that producers of Lugana DOC wines have been collecting over the years.
Confirmations and Promotions of Lugana DOC
A collection of accolades for Lugana DOC that will undoubtedly characterize this edition of Vinitaly, reflecting the ongoing rise in quality that producers continue to demonstrate each year with their wines.
Additionally, another promotional effort has been undertaken recently using Lugana DOC by an associate of the Consorzio Tutela: Fratelli Fraccaroli of Peschiera del Garda. The company is responsible for organizing the traveling exhibition currently hosted at the former municipal palace of Piazza Carducci in Sirmione, dedicated to the thirtieth career anniversary of Katia Ricciarelli.
The exhibition will remain open until May 9 and will then travel to Rome, Milan, Palermo, Venice, Malta, Cyprus, Tokyo, and New York. For all these celebrations, the wine used for various toasts and ceremonies – but not only – will be Lugana DOC from the Peschiera-based company.
For this occasion, a special label has been created, already sought after by collectors, featuring the official image from the catalog and the inscription Lugana DOC. This exclusive label not only symbolizes a guarantee of quality and professionalism but also promotes the names Ricciarelli, Lugana, and Sirmione across the globe.
A trio that, thirty years ago, marked the rise of the illustrious international soprano, and today sees these names reunited in celebration of her career anniversary, presented by Pippo Baudo.
