Lugana DOC Consortium Moves to New Headquarters in Sirmione

New headquarters for the Lugana DOC Protection Consortium

A new and certainly more significant headquarters for the Lugana Protection Consortium. After repeated contacts with the Municipal Administration of Sirmione, an agreement was reached between the Lugana Consortium and the Municipality of Sirmione to assign a new and more prestigious location to the Protection Consortium, aligned with the importance and stature of this organization, which is increasingly committed both to the safeguarding and to the enhancement of one of Italy’s most prized and recognized wines.

Following several proposals put forward by the Municipal Administration, the decision fell on some offices within the building that houses the Tourist Information Office, located just beside the Scaligero Castle. Naturally, the best choice was this solution, and an immediate agreement was promptly reached and signed.

Not only that. In recent days, surpassing all delays and despite the slow bureaucracy, there was the opportunity to present and inaugurate the new headquarters — although it is not yet fully operational — to the authorities present in Sirmione during the environmental conference.

Inauguration and Participants

A symbolic inauguration that officially recognized the agreement and the cooperation established between the two entities, attended by President Ghiraldi, Mayor Ferrari with his vice Alessandro Mattinzoli, Provincial Councillor Mauro Parolini, president of the Brescia Artisans’ Association Enrico Mattinzoli, the tourism councilor of Desenzano Garagna, and Sirmione’s delegate Busti.

Certainly, many members and councillors of the Lugana DOC Protection Consortium were also present.

Features of the New Headquarters

Two elegant rooms, one for the secretariat and the other for meetings, opening right onto the magnificent and evocative Sirmione lakeside promenade. A large garden outside and, above all, great branding opportunities for the millions of people who visit annually, whether for leisure or thermal treatments, the Pearl of Lake Garda.

Nearby are the Grand Hotel Terme and the Hotel Fonte Bojola, the latter open all year round to facilitate thermal treatments even during the winter period.

Feelings and Future Steps

Great satisfaction from the Consortium President, Avv. Francesco Ghiraldi, for a long-awaited goal now fully achieved. The satisfaction is shared by Mayor Maurizio Ferrari, who in less than eight months since his election managed to fulfill one of the main needs that the Lugana Consortium had been feeling for some time.

A decent headquarters and a similarly respectable location for a product from the Garda land, appreciated worldwide.

The transfer from Via Verona, in Lugana, to the new center headquarters in Sirmione will still require a few days, to allow the current associations occupying the offices to move to other premises. The institutional logos of the Consortium already adorn the entrance door and the interior of the new facility.
