Lugana DOC Showcases at China Wine Fair in Shanghai
Another international venture for the Lugana DOC. From November 18 to 21, the Consorzio Tutela del Lugana DOC will be present, through its own booth, at the inaugural edition of China Wine, held in the populous Shanghai, which has a population of over 13 million residents.
Shanghai, located in the province of Jiangsu, boasts a major port that serves as a global hub and is rich in textile, steel, chemical, petrochemical, glass, and tobacco industries.
Participation in the fair and involved companies
For this first edition of the International Wine Fair, Lugana producers will participate through the Consorzio, showcasing the full range of Lugana DOC products from their members.
Included in this viticultural expedition are about a dozen companies producing this exceptional white wine, considered by experts one of the best among Italian whites, each with its own customized stand.
International support and collaboration
The presence of Lugana producers and the Consorzio del Lugana in China has been made possible also thanks to the support demonstrated by the Camere di Commercio di Brescia e Verona, which have long been attentive to and supportive of the international promotion of this product.
For the Consorzio Tutela Lugana, the same president, Francesco Ghiraldi, will also be present in China.
Banco di Roma, through its Shanghai branch and its Director of Shanghai, has expressed its willingness to act as a support point alongside Lugana DOC producers, providing technical hospitality and coordinating between Italian participants and the Chinese production and commercial sectors.
Impact and expectations in China
This will be the first official appearance in the populous Asian nation, with over 1,160,000,000 residents, on a territory of 9,356,499 km2, which will undoubtedly arouse interest in this Italian wine, which, as seen in other parts of the world, will certainly garner great appreciation and enthusiasm from Chinese entrepreneurs in the hospitality and retail sectors.
Furthermore, it is well known that Lugana DOC can be paired with numerous dishes featuring rice, the fundamental staple food throughout China.
