In the second quarter of 2025, industrial production in Lombardy showed a growth of 0.4%, confirming the strength of the regional manufacturing sector despite an uncertain global economic context. The Lombard craftsmanship also recorded an increase of 0.2%, primarily supported by the recovery in domestic demand (+0.5%) and a growing foreign demand. The data, provided by the Economic Observatory of Unioncamere Lombardia, highlights a revenue increase of 1.4% compared to the previous year and a positive employment balance (+0.3%), alongside a decrease in the use of layoffs.
The non-metallic minerals sector stands out with an annual production growth of 7%, while other sectors such as rubber-plastics and textiles face challenges.
