The general assembly of the Garda Community took place this morning, Saturday the 11th, in Salò, where Mariastella Gelmini was unanimously re-elected as president. Having held the position since 2015, Gelmini expressed her gratitude for the trust placed in her by local administrators and emphasized the importance of tackling new challenges, including the enhancement of water purification and the sustainable development of the area. A new board of directors was also elected during the meeting, including representatives from the provinces of Brescia and Verona. Gelmini’s re-election marks a starting point for further initiatives aimed at improving transportation and promoting cultural events in the region. Future projects include the establishment of a General States of Transportation and support for Valeggio sul Mincio’s bid to become the Italian Capital of Culture in 2028. Additionally, there are plans to strengthen collaborations with local associations and government entities to ensure a more dynamic and appealing future for younger generations. Italian Version
