Mayor Closes Bassani Park at Night After Noise and Bird Cruelty Incidents

Public gardens closed at night. Mayor Armando Ferrari has issued a recent order to close Bassani Park, located behind the parish church, from 7 pm until 8 am. This temporary measure aims to prevent gatherings of groups of youths who cause noise disturbances, disturbing families living in the neighboring apartment buildings.

The gruesome discovery and motivations

But that’s not all. It is remembered that near the access to Via Fosse, in the park, on the eve of Christmas, a mute swan was found impaled on the branches of a lagestroemia indica (a shrub plant). A macabre discovery, with the poor bird’s wings spread, as if it were crucified.

This incident, along with the ongoing nighttime disturbances, convinced Ferrari to take measures. “Many people complained and called the town hall,” explains the mayor.
