Mediterranean Orienteering Championship 2026 Set for Garda and Torri del Benaco
The Mediterranean Open Championship 2026 in orienteering will take place from March 6 to 12, featuring 200 participants from 17 countries. Organized by SSD PWT Italia with support from local municipalities and sporting bodies, the event includes sprint races of approximately 3 km with over 20 control points, catering to both competitive and recreational athletes using maps and compasses.
The competition schedule includes Stage 1 in Garda on March 7 and Stage 2 in Torri del Benaco on March 8, with additional activities such as the MOC Tour (March 6-8) offering food and wine experiences in Valpolicella. The MOC Camps are scheduled from March 9 to 12 across various locations, supported by local clubs, trainers, and event managers, with activities involving the municipalities of Garda and Torri del Benaco.
