Meshuge Klezmer Band Performs at Scaliger Castle Summer Event

Tomorrow evening at the Scaliger Castle, at 9 PM, an evening of Jewish ethnic music with the Meshuge Klezmer Band will take place. The band is returning from a tour in the United States where, among other venues, they performed at the famous Tonic in Manhattan, where the best klezmer groups in the world perform.

The concert is part of the summer series of entertainment and culture organized by the Pro Loco. Admission is free.

The Meshuge Klezmer Band was founded in Verona by a group of musicians from diverse cultural backgrounds with the aim of spreading klezmer and Yiddish music.

The repertoire is mainly instrumental and consists of traditional dances performed by the Ashkenazi communities of Eastern Europe during Jewish calendar festivals.
