Mille Miglia Returns Through Castiglione delle Stiviere on May 19
Once again this year, the Mille Miglia will pass through the historic center of Castiglione delle Stiviere. This was confirmed by Deputy Mayor Giuseppe Bertoli. The parade of vintage cars will travel through the streets of the town of Aloisia on Saturday, May 19, between 9 PM and 11 PM, on their way back to Brescia.
This is the third year that the vintage cars, with illustrious and often popular drivers, cross through Castiglione, and for the second time, they are returning from Central Italy heading towards the conclusion of the event in Brescia.
Moreover, this year the Mille Miglia will take a different route, extensively crossing the historic center of Rome, offering a very scenic view.
The route and participation in Castiglione
In the town of Alto Mantovano, the parade, always highly followed by the audience, will take Viale Dunant after leaving the former Goitese state road, then continue along Via Cesare Battisti and reach Piazza San Luigi, where it will circle the 17th-century fountain.
Then, the cars will descend along Viale Maifreni to return onto Via Mazzini and head towards the city of Brescia.
We recall that during the first passage through the Aloisia center two years ago, a Castiglione native, Franco Ambrosi, also participated driving his vintage car, accompanied by his then-fiancée and now wife.
This year as well, the organizers anticipate a good turnout of enthusiasts and curious spectators from the area.
