Montichiari Ecological Walk and Procession at Fontanelle Sunday

Tomorrow, at Fontanelle di Montichiari, there will be not only a prayer procession: near the spring at the center of the Marian devotion, participants of the 17th “Ecological Walk” will also pass by. The event will be organized by the Gruppo Podistico Argomme-Avis from the morning, offering a new and scenic route: from the historic center to the hilly area.

The route will start from the Parco della City and continue toward the bike path along the Chiese River. Following the river, it will arrive in Fontanelle, at the border with Carpenedolo, where sites dedicated to Madonna Rosa Mistica are located.

The processions and the ecological walk

While the new association “Rosa Mistica Fontanelle” prepares for the first of the two planned processions: the one at 11 a.m.; the second will leave around 3:30 p.m.

The two groups, the sports and the religious, will mingle for a few minutes. Immediately after, the walkers will leave the place of worship and tackle the final part of the route, which extends for 12 kilometers and will pass over Colle San Pancrazio.

The race is open to everyone looking to spend a Sunday in contact with nature, discovering the most beautiful corners of Montichiari, with also shorter routes (4 kilometers for adults and one and a half for children).

Refreshments, awards, and registration

At the end of the Caminada, a generous refreshment will be offered, made possible by the collaboration of the new association Ar.Co., which includes many of Montichiari’s commercial and artisanal activities, as well as supporters of the Gruppo Podistico.

Finally, awards will be given to the most numerous groups, elementary and middle school children, and the best walkers. The meeting point is at 8 a.m. in the new Parco della City; registrations are open until 8:50 a.m.
