Minor Earthquakes Shake Northern Garda Region Near Gargnano
Two minor earthquakes occurred in the Alto Garda Bresciano area on January 9, 2026, near Gargnano. The first quake struck at 15:24 with a magnitude of 2.5 at a depth of 11 km, followed by a stronger tremor at 15:28 measuring 3.4 at a depth of 10 km.
According to the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology, both events are consistent with the region’s typical seismic activity. No damages or injuries have been reported, though residents experienced perceptible vibrations.
