Moniga del Garda mourns the passing of Fiorenzo Pollini, a pillar of Garda boating, who passed away at the age of 67 after a brief hospitalization in Desenzano, caused by a sudden illness at his home. A native of the area, Pollini was a respected and appreciated figure not only locally but also nationally and internationally due to his entrepreneurial activities with Pollini Nautica, which has been operating for over thirty years along the shores of the lake. Recently, his business had expanded to the Adriatic with the opening of a new branch in Lignano Sabbiadoro.
Fiorenzo’s career began by following in the footsteps of his father Brunetto, a local barber, but he soon embarked on an entrepreneurial journey that saw him involved in various fields, from a tennis club to a diving center, ultimately finding his true calling in the nautical sector. The funeral home has been set up at the Desenzano hospital, and the funeral will take place tomorrow, Thursday, July 31, at 4 PM in the parish church of Moniga del Garda. His memory will remain indelible in the recent history of the community and the entire Benaco area.
