Moniga del Garda is preparing for a significant renovation of its central square, San Martino, with the introduction of a new “rambla” set to be completed by next spring. The project, valued at 1.6 million euros, includes revamped sidewalks and a tree-lined avenue along Via Carlo Alberto, which will be converted to one-way traffic to improve circulation and increase parking spaces. Construction is set to begin in October and is expected to be completed by Easter.

Mayor Renato Marcoli emphasized the urgency of the redevelopment, highlighting how the pedestrianization of the square addresses the current needs for managing summer traffic. The paving will be redone using porphyry cobblestones, and existing trees, including a centuries-old maple, will be preserved. The project has been developed by a team of architects and landscape designers and also includes interventions on utilities and the creation of a new basin for rainwater collection.
