An intervention by the Mountain Rescue Service took place on the eve of Easter when a hiker in distress was rescued in the area of the Forcella di Valdritta on Monte Baldo. The man, an inexperienced foreign tourist, had ventured out wearing inadequate clothing and footwear for the still wintry conditions of the mountain. As the weather worsened and unable to return on his own, he requested assistance. The rescue teams, comprising 10 and 4 members from the Verona and Ala stations respectively, faced fog that hindered attempts to recover him by helicopter.

After several efforts, around 8:30 PM, a break in the clouds allowed the Trento rescue helicopter to access the area, which transported the hiker to the hospital for medical checks. The teams made their way back down along the trail. It is important to emphasize that the weather conditions on Monte Baldo remain wintry and require adequate physical preparation and experience for those wishing to engage in winter hiking.
