A motorcycle accident occurred yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, May 12, in Pozzolengo, in the Bosco area, involving a 28-year-old man. The motorcyclist suffered a violent head-on collision with a van traveling in the opposite direction. Law enforcement is currently investigating the precise circumstances of the incident. The van driver, a 56-year-old man, emerged from the impact almost unscathed, while the motorcyclist sustained serious injuries, including fractures to the femur, tibia, fibula, and ankle.
Emergency responders from Castiglione and Salò, along with a medical vehicle and an ambulance from the Red Cross of Rivoltella, arrived promptly on the scene. After stabilizing the young motorcyclist, the rescuers urgently transported him by helicopter to the hospital in Brescia, where he is currently hospitalized in yellow code.
