Motorway A4 accident in Desenzano: traffic paralyzed and rescue operations underway
Two accidents occurred this morning, just before 8 AM, on the A4 motorway, causing a traffic standstill between the Desenzano and Brescia Est toll booths. The causes of the collisions, which involved multiple vehicles heading towards Milan, are currently under investigation. Shortly after the first incident, another rear-end collision also affected several trucks on the same stretch of road. Emergency services were promptly activated, and according to information from Areu, about ten people were involved in the first accident and seven in the second. At the moment, long queues of up to 8 kilometers are reported, but the Traffic Police have stated that the motorway has not been closed and that the condition of those involved does not appear to be serious. However, the repercussions on traffic are unavoidable and continue to cause disruptions for motorists passing through. Italian Version
