A couple of Hungarian tourists requested assistance late this morning while on the Montalbano Via Ferrata in Mori. Around 11:40 AM, the man, born in 1963, contacted the Emergency Services Number 112 after feeling exhausted and unable to continue. The Unified Emergency Center promptly activated the Vallagarina Station of the Trentino Alpine and Speleological Rescue, which dispatched four operators to the scene to provide assistance.
The rescuers reached the man on foot and safely lowered him to the base of the cliff. Meanwhile, the wife decided to continue the route on her own, but later contacted her husband to inform him that she was stuck on the last overhanging ladder of the via ferrata due to fatigue and heat. Two rescuers then went back to retrieve her, while the other two positioned themselves at the exit to assist the hiker. The Alpine Rescue advises caution during hikes, recommending to avoid the hottest hours and to always carry enough water during planned outings.
