Salò is preparing to celebrate its young director with the screening of the film “Physical Education” by Stefano Cipani, scheduled for Saturday, August 23 at 9 PM at the Provveditori Hall of the Municipality. This event concludes the “Films and Directors” series, promoted by the Fondazione Opera Pia Carità Laicale and the Istituto Lodroniano, in collaboration with the Culture Department of the Municipality. After the film screening, Cipani will present an exclusive storyboard, enriching the cultural experience related to the exhibition “Federico Fellini: From Drawing to Direction,” which celebrates the 130th anniversary of the birth of Cinema.
“Physical Education,” based on the play “The Gym” by Giorgio Scianna, tackles complex themes such as the fragility of contemporary society and parental responsibilities through an intense narrative. The film, which premiered nationally at the Rome Film Fest in 2022, features prominent actors such as Giovanna Mezzogiorno and Sergio Rubini. During the event, preparatory drawings for the work will also be displayed, providing a unique opportunity for the people of Salò to delve deeper into Cipani’s artistic work.
