Nago Torbole and pike fishing: significant catch in upper Garda
A 7 kg pike was recently caught in the waters of the upper Garda, specifically off the coast of Corno di Bò, near Nago Torbole. The specimen, precisely weighed at 7.04 kg, was caught by Mauro “Pever,” who shared his achievement on the Facebook page Amo Torbole. In a post, Aldo Tajom Tavernini commented on the event, emphasizing how this catch contradicts claims about the scarcity of fish in the lake.
Although this is not a record for the area—where pikes weighing 17-18 kg have been recorded and a record of 21.6 kg was set in 2016—the catch remains significant and demonstrates the vitality of local fishing. The fishing community continues to celebrate such successes, highlighting the importance of the lake as a habitat for remarkable fish species.
