The Safe Lakes 2025 Operation has come to an end, a national initiative launched on June 15 by the General Command of the Coast Guard, which saw intense activity on Lake Garda as well. During this operation, 829 naval missions were carried out on Italy’s major lakes, resulting in over 3,194 checks concerning navigation safety and recreational boating, leading to the issuance of 463 administrative fines totaling nearly 100,000 euros. Specifically, in the Garda basin, 45 personnel and 10 naval vessels coordinated 93 rescue activities, assisting 204 individuals and supporting 63 recreational boats. Overall, the Coast Guard units conducted 480 missions on Lake Garda, issuing 257 administrative fines during navigation safety checks. Additionally, information points were set up along the busiest lakeside areas to provide helpful advice to swimmers and boaters in three different languages. The operation highlighted the authorities’ commitment to promoting safety and protecting the lake environment. Italian Version
