New gallery in Gargnano: funding to improve road accessibility

An important advancement for the road network in the Gargnano area has been announced with the approval of the new tunnel, a project that will receive nearly 50 million euros in funding from CIPESS. This infrastructure, which will connect Gargnano to Tignale, has been included among the strategic interventions financed in the update of the Program Agreement between the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and ANAS. Regional councilor Floriano Massardi emphasized that this achievement represents a concrete commitment from the League at both the national and local levels, highlighting the importance of the tunnel in improving safety and reducing traffic-related inconveniences on the SP BS 45bis.

This initiative is part of a broader strategy to modernize Lombardy’s infrastructure, aimed at supporting mountainous areas and tourist regions. A detailed timeline for the commencement of the works is now awaited, with Massardi expressing great satisfaction with the project, considering it essential for facilitating traffic along the Salò-Riva del Garda axis. The 2025 Budget Law foresees significant investments in infrastructure projects, making the tunnel a crucial component of the region’s development plan.
