New Waste Management Firm Formed by Three Italian Companies in Castiglione
Although it will need to be approved by the respective assemblies before it can become operational, the agreement reached and signed in recent weeks by representatives of the three companies that will establish a new entity, Biociclo srl, headquartered in Castiglione delle Stiviere, appears to be very positive.
Details of the agreement
The agreement involves three companies that have long been engaged in the treatment and disposal of municipal solid waste, as well as managing numerous services related to environmental protection and conservation. These are INT.DEP.CAST, srl based in Castiglione delle Stiviere, TEA SPA of Mantova, and the Azienda Speciale Consorzio Garda Uno of Portese di San Felice del Benaco.
The corporate shares have also been established, with 52% allocated to INT.DEP.CAST, and 24% each for TEA and Garda Uno, with the plant’s capacity of 28,000 tons per year.
“A result achieved after a series of meetings that I, and we,” – emphasized the president of Garda Uno, Guido Maruelli –, “feel particularly satisfied with. It is an agreement that could be reached thanks to the shared mindset of the three companies, also driven by the necessity to join forces to improve the services offered at competitive costs.”
Present at the signing of the agreement were the presidents of the three companies: Nunzio Bellazzi for INT.DEP.CAST; Guido Maruelli for Garda Uno; and Arnaldo Veronesi for TEA. Also present were their respective Directors: Mauro Morandi, Franco Richetti, and Millo Dall’Aglio.
Objectives of the new company
Maruelli explains that the primary goals of this new company are to intervene in the waste recycling cycle, particularly in producing high-quality compost through processing of the organic fraction of municipal waste derived from source-separated collection, as well as green waste and sewage sludge.
This initial collaboration also carries the hope and anticipation that, in the near future, the three companies can increasingly integrate their activities, including other sectors of local public services.
