Night Ski Race on Monte Baldo to Host Fifth Alto Garda Team Trophy

On February 25, the long-awaited night ski race will take place once again on Monte Baldo. The fourth “Alto Garda” team trophy will be awarded.

The event, which continually attracts increasing participation each year, is organized by the Sci Club Val Trovaj, Sci Club Monte Baldo, and the Scuola Italiana di Sci. The municipal administrations of Malcesine and Brenzone, the Tourism Promotion Agency, Baita dei Forti, and the La Capannina restaurant also collaborated.

Participation Rules and Scoring

All members registered with a Ski Club can participate in the fifth night race. For the “Alto Garda” team trophy, the best classified athlete from each category of each Ski Club will be considered, using FIS points (one hundred points for first place and decreasing accordingly).

The total of the points will determine the team standings. In case of a tie, the best combined finish times of the athletes from a single team will be considered. The top three competitors in each category will be awarded.

Schedule and Registration

The last cable car from San Michele will depart at 6:30 PM, with bib distribution at Baita dei Forti taking place at 6:45 PM.

The race will start at 7:30 PM; the giant slalom will be held on the “Pozza della Tella” slope. Registrations must be made by phone at 045 7420055 or 045 6570684, or via fax at 045 7420688, by 6 PM on February 22, 2000.
