Olive growing in Puegnago del Garda: facing plant health challenges
On December 15, a technical meeting will be held at Villa Galnica, in the Castello district of Puegnago del Garda, to discuss the phytosanitary and climatic challenges that have characterized the olive-growing season of 2025-26. The event, organized by AIPOL technicians, is open to producers and industry operators and will begin at 5:30 PM. During the evening, AIPOL director Paolo Zani will present a detailed analysis of the climatic conditions that have affected olive production, highlighting how thermal anomalies and irregular precipitation have contributed to the development of diseases. Following this, technician Olmo Bonzi will outline the most effective strategies to combat the pests and pathogens threatening local olive cultivation. This meeting represents an important opportunity for olive growers in the Garda area to discuss the critical issues they have encountered and to prepare action plans to tackle future challenges in an increasingly complex agricultural context. Participation is free and is part of a project aimed at safeguarding Lombardy’s olive-growing sector. Italian Version
