Overland World Truck Expedition Highlights Moniga Stop

Many people have been able to, and will be able to throughout the entire day today, see up close one of those fantastic and colossal vehicles that make up the Overland expedition, which has been featured on Rai Uno for several weeks, engaged in feats that are sometimes incredible, sometimes thrilling, and often depict life situations we believed had disappeared from the face of the earth.

Overland, World Truck Expedition” has accustomed us to see and learn about, through stunning images and comprehensive commentary, places and realities around the world that are often unknown. As mentioned, one of the three massive vehicles, specifically made available by IVECO for this initiative officially endorsed by UNICEF, is stopping in Moniga: during the day at the port square and in the evening at the town’s main square, right next to the stands set up for the wine exhibition dedicated to the Trofeo Molmenti and the local Chiarettos and extra virgin olive oils from Garda.

The stop in Moniga and the significance of the event

This is the second time, the first occurred several years ago in Sedena di Lonato, where all the vehicles were present to celebrate one of the team members who had his home in that locality, that Overland makes a stop on Lake Garda.

Enzo Dolci, who was appointed vice mayor of Moniga just a few months ago, expresses his full satisfaction with this presence, accompanied by a truck equipped with projectors for videos filmed during various stages.

“It further contributes to developing Moniga’s touristic image. Certainly,” Dolci explains, “driving this vehicle through the historic center of Moniga was not easy, but given the rough routes that the men and vehicles of Overland are accustomed to crossing during their adventures, it definitely did not restrict their movements.”
